Alonia 1.0.89 is a free instant messenger for Internet.
In order to use it, you must obtain an account in http://www.alonia.ro/signup.html. The page is in English, but the final message will appear in romanian. Don´t worry, it says that they will send you an email with a link to activate your account.
The email will arrive in romanian, too. You must click on "Activeaza contul Alonia" to activate your account.
By using Alonia 1.0.89 you can keep in touch with your friends and family, sending text messages in real time, exchanging photos and other files.
The program also allows you to talk by phone or video-phone. You can talk free of charge PC to PC with your Alonia friends. If you want to talk using Alonia with phone networks all over the world, you´ll have to buy credit.
You will be assigned a Romanian phone number. People can call you from their telephones to your romanian landline number (only useful if they live in Rumania, I guess)..
Using a Webcam you can mantain video calls with other Alonia users.
Alonia can communicate with other messengers, like Yahoo! Messenger, Google Chat, Windows Live Messenger or AIM*. This feature is momentarily disabled. |
